If you're feeling helpless, hopeless, or overwhelmed this is for you.

Things are weird right now, especially when it comes to work. Whether you are employed, job hunting, or somewhere in-between there are so many options and somehow, it seems like none are available to us at the moment. Confusing, right?

This feels destabilizing mainly because we can no longer rely on our current coping mechanisms or well-trodden thought patterns. We are all braving unexplored terrain. We must adapt and become in real time, often without preparation.

When we lack preparation, we can feel powerless. But you are not powerless, diviner. You have more power than you think you do, but it’s a different kind of power. Not as obvious. It’s not the false, battle of egos power fueled by privilege that we are bombarded with these days. We are in an age where that counterfeit power is being exposed and although is still used as currency, it’s losing its worth.

The currency of true power is surging in value. This kind of power is less obvious because it is quiet, shimmering, and blooming within us. It is the kind of power that only the attuned have access to.

Since you are reading this right now, you have already begun to tap into this reservoir. It lies in a place that often feels just beyond reach – every name we give it seems inadequate to fully describe it but let us try. I am speaking of your higherself. This is the part of you that always knows your purpose, your path and is begging your conscious mind to climb aboard.

But to get there, we must….

Pause.

Your higherself can be accessed when you are at peace. We must carve out or steal time if necessary, anything to find moments where we can practice peace. Because….

Power lies in the belly of peace.

Let’s break down this calculus. When we are peaceful, we access our higherself. Our higherself always points us back to our purpose. When we are aligned with our purpose, we are unstoppable. We become powerful.

So, what brings you peace? Is it taking a walk? Stretching? Playing with your dog? Whatever it is, do it.

If you’re not able to reach a peaceful place immediately, that’s okay. All of us are affected by what is going on, some are more directly impacted and this may mean you are in survival mode. Even in this mode, conjuring peace is necessary but more challenging. One tool to assist are your cards. You can try asking the question:

“What step can I take to bring me peace right now?” And then, slowly after that feeling of peace becomes familiar…

“What step do I need to take right now to _____?” fill in the blank with your goal or aim.

If you do an activity that brings you peace your next step will slowly unfurl, shimmering softly in the heavens of your thoughts.

All you need to do is provide a venue for it to show itself. Will you make space for your own power? All you have to do is take a breath and let it dance for you.

Divinely,

Emily Rose
